Fort Hood

I participated in the Fiscal Year 1983 survey of the Eastern Training Area at Fort Hood, Texas for about eight months.  Following this project, I was hired by The Archeological Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University to carry out and supervise two projects under the direction of Dr. Frederick L.  Briuer, who was the Staff Archaeologist at the time.

I plotted all known sites on IGAS maps to be used as base maps for future site monitoring on the base.  My title of my report was IGAS Mapping Project and Recommendations for Future Site Monitoring at Fort Hood, Texas.

1986

William E. Moore

While employed by Texas A&M University, I participated in an ongoing monitoring project of prehistoric site 648 at Fort Hood, Texas and wrote a letter report documenting my findings.  The report was entitled Experimental Site Monitoring Conducted at Site 648, Fort Hood, Texas and published as Texas Archeological Research Laboratory, Letter Report Number 36.
