I found a reference to a calaboose in this town that was sold when it was no longer needed. Looking for the source of this information.
Lewisville
The 1921 Sanborn map (Sheet 2) depicts a small one-story stone jail in Lewisville, Texas. It was located in the middle of Mill Street near the corner of that street and Elm between city blocks 4 and 38. It is virtually equidistant between 103 Mill and 122 Mill. According to Drew Dietrich (city employee), the 1912 jail is no longer standing. There is a later jail built in 1927 that is discussed in the text of this report. On the Perry-Casteñada website, the only Sanborn maps for Lewisville are dated 1912. This is not correct. The seal at the top of the map is dated May 1921.
Pilot Point
The Sanborn map dated 1885 (Sheet 1) depicts a one-story wood calaboose in Pilot Point, Texas at 117 ½ North Jefferson (city block 9). It was still there in 1891 (Sheet 2), 1901 (Sheet 2), and 1907 (Sheet 2). In 1912 (Sheet 2) it was vacant and replaced by a one-story stone jail at 408 Liberty Street (block 16). In 1921 (Sheet 2) the stone jail had been converted to a cobbler shop. A one-story ironclad city jail was back at city block 9 in the same general area as the earlier wood calaboose. The concrete calaboose that is present today (see Calabooses) had not been constructed in 1921.
