This calaboose is the property of the town and is in an open area near the intersection of Allison Avenue and 1st Street. It is rectangular in shape and has one door on the north end. I have not visited it and, therefore, can only offer general comments. I was told by an anonymous source that at one time there was a metal cage that stood outside with no cover. Later, the existing structure was constructed. The age of this calaboose and its length of use are not known at this time. Currently, it is empty and sometimes used for storage. The floor plan cannot be determined until the size and placement of the metal cage is known and the interior observed. It is not included in my book titled The Texas Calaboose and Other Forgotten Jails (Texas A&M University Press, 2019).
