Bremond
This metal cage is located in the town of Bremond and is privately owned. It is not known if this is its original location. According to the sign erected by the owner, it was built circa 1885. The use of strap iron it its construction suggests that this time period may be accurate. It sits on a concrete slab and the cage is enclosed in a building constructed to protect it. Interestingly, the bars in the building appear to be quite old also. One of the features that interests me is the massive locking mechanism on the cell door. The metal bed and what appears to be a chamber pot or spittoon may not be original.
