Marion

There was a calaboose in Marion, Texas that has been demolished.  My informant, Kristie Ikels, is going to provide more information as that is her hometown.  There are no Sanborn insurance maps for Marion at this time.

Seguin

The Sanborn maps dated 1902 (Sheet 4) and 1906 (Sheet 4) depict a small one-story wood calaboose in Seguin, Texas at 227 Market Street (block 27). This calaboose was present prior to the construction of the two-story brick county jail that was on the same block at 329 Center Street. In 1912 (Sheet 9), the old calaboose was now a vacant building. In 1916 (Sheet 11) block 27 had been renamed block 161 due to rapid growth of the city.
